Karlosophies

Welcome to Karlosophies, I'm Karly Nimmo... and to be honest, I'm still very much figuring out this thing called life. Karlosophies has been a training ground for me to show up and speak up. It's grown and changed, as I've grown and changed. It started as a way for me to come to terms with the biggest failure of my life, and now that the failure chapter is officially closed, I want to explore what it's like to live life with the lid off.... what happens when you start living a life free of others expectation, and at times, your own... and start living a life in brilliant technicolour. Each week, I'll show up and peel back another layer of the stories that make up the fabric of who I am... and occasionally I'll dive deep with a guest on a topic that has piqued my curiosity. The intention of this podcast is to help you to remember, and step into, the truth, power and potential of who you really are. It's chock a block full of inspiring stories, business tips and takeaways to implement into your life for positive change. So show up and let Karlosophies speak to you, in any way you need it to.

Marcus Pearce and Karly invite you to join us at their incredible One Day in Byron Bay event, where he’ll be helping you to find clarity. Grab this amazing opportunity to know and listen from four great mates who are on top of their game. Limited seats are available so don’t let this opportunity pass. Head on to the event’s website to get your ticket.

A journalist by profession, a longevity enthusiast, a former beer-drinking cigarette-smoking workaholic, a vegan, teetotaler, TV producer and thought leader on living an exceptional life. All of these, some current and some past, comprise the varied background of Marcus Pearce – CEO of The Wellness Couch podcast network and founder of the Exceptional Life Blueprint.

Combining almost 20 years across the sports, health, wellness and personal growth industries, Marcus is a one-of-a-kind speaker, MC, trainer and facilitator. He’s worked with the biggest names in Australian showbiz, sport and wellness, whilst interviewing hundreds of exceptional human beings on what it takes to truly make the rest of your life the best of your life.

Marcus is CEO & Director of The Wellness Couch podcast network, Australia’s #1 health and lifestyle podcast network with lifetime downloads exceeding 5 million since 2012. With over 20 shows and 2000+ podcasts on the network, Marcus is uniquely positioned to provide insight into the health and wellness industry.

Whilst in the thick of being vegan and raising his first child, Marcus became enamoured with the question “why do some people live a long time and others don’t?” His journalistic instincts kicked in and the results were more than surprising. Starting in 2013, Marcus created the 100 Not Out podcast alongside Dr, Damian Kristof, and in 2014, put his findings into a program and teachable system called the Exceptional Life Blueprint. Today, Marcus shares the principles of an exceptional life through keynote and corporate engagements, live events, online programs, retreats and 1:1 mentoring.

Originally from Melbourne, Marcus lives in Byron Bay with his wife Sarah and three children Maya, Darby & Tommy.

Welcome to the 150th episode of Karlosophies. We’ve come this far and even Karly can’t believe it.
To celebrate this milestone, Karly shares one of her very hidden talents: Singing... Yes, she can sing and she’s pretty good. It may not be technically perfect but she is learning to allow herself to fully express herself through music.
She recalls as a child, vulnerably sharing her voice with those close to her, and their response - which was very lackluster. After all these years of denying herself one of her true loves, now is the time to fully explore and learn to trust herself.
Karly puts it all on the line when she takes you behind the scenes of her first singing lesson in over 20 years… and learns there’s no need to be the best. Let’s just be ourselves and accepts our full being, may it be brilliant or just meh.. it’s always perfectly imperfect.

In this free flow, Karly asks how you can nurture your customers. How can you keep them engaged and interested in your products? How do you look after the people who have invested in you by buying your products in the first place?
And how an expensive household cleaning product, EKoWorx, wowed her with their post-sales Facebook ads. Once Karly had purchased the product, their facebook retargeting took her customer experience to whole new level - a genius method of keeping their customers engaged and interested... and buying more products.
